Our Origin

July 18, 2017 a day like any other …

A small group of producers from different parts of the country gathered and expressed their concerns regarding Honduran coffee.

The point of discussion was the current commercial scheme of the country and how unstable and unprofitable it is. Currently, Honduran coffee is threatened by low prices and overproduction, which is seen as a bad omen by producers.

From this, the idea of directly marketing the coffee abroad arises, thus shortening the extensive chain between producer and buyer. This idea promotes the foundation of the exporting business CDH, CAFETALEROS DE HONDURAS.

The initiative taken to found an exporter marks a point, a before and after for this group of producers, which seeks to build a bridge based on national coffee. CDH is a reliable and transparent exporter built upon producers who recognize the need for Honduran coffee.

CAFETALEROS DE HONDURAS is a coffee exporter that watches over all producers in Honduras. Through its efficiency and transparency it seeks to provide sustainability to its members by modifying the current marketing scheme for better while at the same time maintaining a profitable margin.
